born in 1972 in Norman, Oklahoma.received degrees in applied art and illustration from Otis College of Art and Design and Whittier College in 1996. He  worked as a freelance muralist and portrait painter, a magazine illustrator and comic strip artist, a reluctant theme park caricaturist, and an illustrator for a corporate sponsorship team.  In 2007 he stopped working for hire and focused on creating his own art,  has shown in some local juried shows

George Mathieu was born in 1921. I began with studying literature and philosophy but than switched to when he was twenty-one. He started with painting realistic landscapes and portraits then he developed a highly distinctive Abstract Expressionist personal style, which grew out of an emotionally driven, improvised and intuitive act of painting.
